Dear Students,

The student chapter of ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) at
the University of Calgary is going to play a couple of recorded talks by

Robert Full on the following topics:

1) How engineers learn from evolution

2) Secrets of movement, from geckos and roaches

Robert Full is a UC Berkeley researcher who studies cockroach legs to build
the perfect "distributed foot" for tomorrow's robots. He's helped

create robots, such as Spinybot. This robot can walk up sheer glass like a
gecko.

Place: MEB 402

Time: Thursday, March 26, 12pm -1pm

Please feel free to bring your lunch.

Sincerely,

Student Chapter of ASME
