Hello Civil Engineering students,

The University is currently reviewing the process for administering the
Universal Students' Ratings of Instruction (USRI). Last Fall, 45 instructors
spanning three Faculties participated in a small paper-based pilot. This
winter, under the direction of the Provost and the respective Deans, the
pilot has been expanded to include all lecture/seminar courses in 17
Departments across five Faculties. Civil Engineering has been selected to
participate in this paper-based USRI pilot project in winter 2009.

Some Key Facts:

*	The USRI pilot consists of a paper-based survey administered
in-class by a USRI Administrator in the Schulich School.
*	The timeline to administer the paper-based survey is the last two
weeks of class - April 6 - April 19, 2009.
*	The paper-based USRI, which uses the same questions as the standard
online version, and a paper-based version of the Faculty Survey (if
applicable) are administered at the same time.
*	Students who participate in the pilot will not complete the USRIs
for these courses online as they will complete them in-class for that
course.

Thank you for your participation in this pilot project.
