GNCTR 2007 is done and gone, but GNCTR 2008 is just gearing up!!

GNCTR, or the “Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race” is Canada’s largest
and longest running Engineering Competition. This annual student run event
aims to challenge students from across Canada in design and innovation of
a concrete toboggan.

If you are an enthusiastic individual wanting to get involved in next
years event, or just wants to learn more come out to an information
session Monday March 26th, 2007 to the 3rd year civil homeroom in F Block
@ 6:00pm.

If you are interested in taking on a leadership role there are many
options available. Each of these is in charge of an area of the team (with
the exception of the PM who manages all) and works collectively with team
members to accomplish tasks:

Project Manager
VP Communications – emails, technical reports
VP Finance – sponsorship, bank accounts
VP Design and Construction – designing and building the sled
VP Logistics – costumes, technical exhibit

If you are interested in being next years PM, this is your opportunity,
please email gnctr at ucalgary.ca by April 2nd, 2007. A tally of how many
interested parties will then take place and a vote will occur at a later
meeting.
