I am writing to share a term Academic Teaching Staff opportunity in Media and Technology Studies at the University of Alberta.

Media and Technology Studies is inviting applications for a term ATS appointment to teach Introduction to Digital Media Practice in Winter 2027. The course introduces students to digital media production and critical practice, with attention to areas such as audio, video, image, text, platform-based media, accessibility, copyright, ethics, and portfolio development.

We are especially interested in candidates who can bridge critical media studies and digital media production practice. Relevant experience may include digital storytelling, audio or video production, sound-based media, short-form media, social media production, streaming, platform-based communication, digital publishing, accessibility, community media, documentary, journalism, or related areas of contemporary media practice.

Please note that this is an in-person teaching appointment at the University of Alberta North Campus in Edmonton. Candidates must therefore be available to teach on campus in Edmonton during Winter 2027.
