Dear all,
I would like to extend an invitation to the Toronto book launch of Technocreep and the Politics of Things Not Seen,
Edited by Neda Atanasoski and Nassim Parvin.
Both will be in attendance.
Tuesday, April 21st

Technocreep and the Politics of Things Not Seen explores how emerging technologies, especially those embedded in intimate spaces like homes and bodies, are often framed as “creepy.” Through a feminist lens, the book moves beyond simple binaries like privacy vs. surveillance to examine more complex relationships involving trust, presence, and collectivity across technologies ranging from smart homes to AI systems.
Neda Atanasoski is Professor of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Maryland.

Nassim Parvin is an Associate Professor in the Information School at the University of Washington.
