Dear Colleagues,

I am circulating an invitation to an event co-hosted by the Infoscape Research Lab (Toronto Metropolitan University), the Institute for Research on Digital Literacies (York University), and MediaSmarts as part of Media Literacy Week.

We’ll share a new digital literacy resource, followed by an interactive session exploring “machine listening” and why it matters for your privacy.  This event is part of ongoing knowledge mobilization supported by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, under its 2025 research initiative on personal information collected by smart devices.
