Hello everyone,

We would like to share an invitation to the CCA community to participate in the memorial panel for Vincent Mosco during the annual conference next week at Congress.

The roundtable is scheduled for 5:00-7pm on Wednesday, June 19 (Jean-Brillant B-3245). Roundtable participants (including Sandra Smeltzer, Leslie Shade, Greig de Peuter, Andrew Herman, and myself) will say some words to remember Vinny, we will play some filmed statements from those who cannot attend, and we will have an open mic for attendees who would like to remember him. If you are attending the CCA and knew Vinny Mosco, please do come by and share some thoughts about this remarkable scholar and human being.

While it would be lovely to see you there, we know it will not be possible for some of you to attend the session. If that is the case, we would like you to invite you to send us a short video of up to 5 minutes in length maximum by Monday, June 17 so we can add it to the compilation to be shown during the roundtable.

Please do feel free to share email this with others. Vinny touched so many lives in critical communication studies, and it is more than likely we’ve missed people who might want to participate.
