The School of Journalism and Communication invites applications from qualified candidates for a tenure­ track Assistant Professor appointment in the Bachelor of Media Production and Design program beginning July 1, 2020.
The successful candidate will participate in curricular design/development/teaching in the program, which launched in 2018. Its core of distinctive courses fosters an innovative approach to the online production of fact-based stories, providing students with the academic foundation and professional skills to work creatively at the intersection of media, information, public engagement and design.
Playing a key role in supervising senior capstone projects, the successful candidate will have the experience and ability to develop/deliver courses in more than one of the following areas: digital storytelling; data storytelling/visual communication; online design; the relationship between technology, civic engagement and public institutions.
