The Department of Civil Engineering is pleased to welcome Vicki Nguyen, M.Sc., P.Eng., Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd., as a guest speaker for ENCI 523: Soil Mechanics & Foundations.

About the Speaker
Vicki Nguyen is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with over a decade of experience in geotechnical consulting and infrastructure design. She holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta and has built her career at leading Canadian engineering firms, currently serving at Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd.
Her expertise includes slope stability analysis, deformation modelling, embankment and foundation design, site investigation, tailings and embankment dam engineering, and geotechnical risk assessment. Vicki has contributed to major transportation, mining, and infrastructure projects across Western Canada, integrating practical field experience with advanced numerical modelling tools.
Vicki is also a dedicated mentor and advocate for professional development within the engineering community. She is passionate about sharing industry insight and supporting early-career engineers.
We welcome both students and faculty to attend; however, please note that space is limited.
We look forward to hosting Vicki and providing students with valuable exposure to real-world geotechnical engineering practice.
