[ENCI-l] Transportation Minor Students

Dear students in transportation minor,

Please see the information about the requirements and recommended courses to take for Civil Engineering - Transportation Minor:

In addition to the required courses for Civil Engineering, the following courses must be completed:


  *   Civil Engineering 575
  *   9 units from Civil Engineering 502, 504, 571, 597*
  *   3 units from Civil Engineering 595* or a Transportation Engineering graduate course

*When the topic is appropriate and with approval from the department.

Recommended graduate courses for Transportation Engineering Minor:

  *   ENCI 657 - Airport Planning & Engineering, Fall 2024
  *   ENCI 711 - Advanced Analysis and Modeling of Public Transit Systems, Fall 2024
  *   ENCI 619 - Data Mining for Urban Infrastructure Applications, Winter 2025
We had several undergraduate students in the past talking ENCI 711 and ENCI 657 passing these courses with high grades. These courses are suitable for final year undergraduate students. In order to register in the graduate level courses, you need to complete this form<https://www.ucalgary.ca/sites/default/files/teams/1/registration_exception_form-feb-2020.pdf> and send it to the instructor for approval.

In addition you have the following two options:

  *   ENCI 595 - Systems Modeling for Urban and Engineering Sustainability, Winter 2025
  *   ENCI 597 - Civil Engineering Project
