[ENCI-l] CEUS Council Elections and AGM TODAY

[Students in Civil Engineering Undergraduate Program]

Hello friends!

Hope everyone is surviving and thriving in this economy? This is a reminder to VOTE IN THE CEUS ELECTIONS!

Who are we electing? Why do we care?
The CEUS (Civil Engineering Undergraduate Society) Elections happen every March, and students elect the Vice Presidents and Year Representatives who will represent us from May 2024 through April 2025.

All Civil Engineering Undergraduate students of the Schulich School of Engineering are entitled to one vote. They liaison with the Civil Department and Companies, which directly impact our academics and professional development opportunities.

How to Vote?
Log into D2L -> CEUS D2L Shell-> Assessment -> Surveys-> CEUS 2024/2025 Council Elections

Candidate platforms are uploaded to the CEUS D2L shell under “content”. They are also available directly on the survey for ease of reference.

How long is the voting period?
Voting period is from March 14th (today) starting at 8:00 AM and ending at 8:00 PM
(or at the end of our Annual General Meeting). The election results will be announced around 8:30 PM

What’s an AGM?! There’s Free food?!?
Yes, there are appetizers for everyone!! The CEUS Annual General Meeting will be held 6-8:30PM at the Den, and all candidates running for elected positions will present their platform in person. It’s highly encouraged that you review candidate platforms on D2L or listen to their speeches before voting :)
At the AGM you will be able to:

  *   Hear a recap on what CEUS has done this year,
  *   Vote on Constitutional Amendments,
  *   Hear candidate pitches for President, Vice President, and Year Rep Positions,
  *   Hear election results.
