Good morning Civil students,



I would like to remind you of our CEUS Annual General Meeting tomorrow - Thursday, March 14.


There will be more information pertaining to the AGM from the lovely President Amanda soon, however I would like to share how the 2024-2025 CEUS Academic Council election process will work. This year, we have modified the election process; voting will be held on the CEUS D2L, and will be accessible from 8AM - end of AGM (around 8PM). Any currently enrolled Civil Engineering student can vote, and I highly encourage everyone to! This is one of many ways you can voice your opinion within Civil Engineering, and every vote counts!


To vote:  head to "Assessments" > "Surveys" in the CEUS D2L shell. You will see a survey titled "CEUS 2024/2025 Council Elections" (it won't be visible until 8AM Thursday); please note you will only have one attempt at this survey once opened, and therefore you cannot re-submit or change your responses after submitting. You will notice in the survey every candidate platform running for that position is listed. You may also find all candidate platforms under "Content", if you would like to review them before you open the survey.

The AGM will be held 6-8PM, and all candidates running for elected positions will present their platform in person. If you would like to hold out on voting until after presentations, you are absolutely welcome! We will give a five-minute buffer period after finishing presentations to allow for everyone to complete their voting.

Elected candidates will be announced at the AGM after all scores are tallied.


Note: all Civil students should have access to the CEUS platform, but if not, please send your student info to me (my contact is listed at the end of this email) and I will add you promptly.
