Description:
The construction industry has been around for thousands of years and makes up a significant portion of our economy. Yet, the industry is mired in doing things the same way they have always been done. This is changing rapidly with new technologies and unprecedented societal demands being placed on the industry. The construction projects and processes of tomorrow will be different than today’s. This presentation will focus on the drivers of these changes and how the industry is coping and adapting to meet the new reality.
Speaker:
Kees Cusveller is a construction professional with more than 35 years of experience, Kees began his career as a project coordinator, moving his way through senior project management and into Corporate and Senior Management roles, providing leadership and direction to multiple operational and corporate groups. Kees has an MBA from the University of Calgary, a Bachelor of Commerce (with distinction) from the University of Alberta, and a Construction Engineering Technology Diploma from NAIT. He is a past executive of the Canadian Construction Association where he chaired both the General Contractors Council as well as the Gold Seal Program. A frequent speaker at industry and educational events, Kees is a lifelong learner and passionate about the construction industry and its role in society
CSCE Calgary Section is also planning some exciting events for the rest of 2021, stay tuned for more information to come.
