*ATTENTION ALL ENGINEERING STUDENTS*

If you are *interested in earning a course credit or two this summer AND 
learning a second language* then there a couple of international 
opportunities that you should be interested in.
Read on to find out more about these and for information on *FUNDING 
AVAILABLE TO YOU FOR SUMMER INTERNATIONAL STUDY PROGRAMS.*

*1) SCHULICH STUDENT ACTIVITIES FUND*
Full time students in the Schulich School of Engineering are eligible to 
apply for up to $5000 in funding from the Schulich Student Activities 
Fund to help cover the costs of an international study program.

**Study:* Putongua (chinese language) and Chinese Culture at Hong Kong 
Polytechnic University
4 weeks program may be followed by an optional 2 week program in Beijing 
in August
*Credits to be earned:* 1 complimentary study credit
*Cost:* ~$300 + U of C tuition for one half course in summer semester + 
food + travel costs
(fee above includes admin fee + accommodation). *

as European Art History, 20th Century Architecture, Transportation and 
Urban Planning, Cross-Cultural Communication
*Credits to be earned:* up to 2 complimentary study credits, *civil 
students *can earn credit for ENCI 473.
*Cost:* 850 Euro + U of C tuition for one half course in spring semester 
+ food + travel costs
(fee above includes program fee, accommodation, course excursions, 
public transit pass). *

Biochemical and Chemical Engineering, Business & Economics, German Culture
*Credits to be earned:* complimentary study credits or for *MECH AND 
CHEM students *possible technical course credits.  Credits earned are 
dependent on the choice of courses in Dortmund and approval of your dept.
*Cost:* 950 Euro + 240 Euro tuition + food + travel costs
(fee above includes program fee, accommodation, health insurance, public 
transit pass). *

areas such as Mechatronics, Sensors and Metrology, Rocket Propulsion and 
fluid machinery, automotive engineering.
*Credits to be earned:* complimentary study credits or for *MECH AND 
ELECT students *possible technical course credits.  Credits earned are 
dependent on the choice of courses in Braunschweig and approval of your 
dept.
*Cost:* 1700 Euro + food + travel costs
(fee above includes tuition, program fee, accommodation, excursions, 
public transit pass). *
