Hello Engineering Students,
I'm sure all of you know by now, last week the Republic of Haiti was hit
with a 7.0 magnitude earthquake last Tuesday. The majority of the
country's buildings were leveled and hundreds of thousands of people are
expected to have died.
We are over 5000 kilometers away from this devastation, but I believe we
can do something from here that will ensure the basic needs of drinkable
water, food and medicine get to those suffering.
I need YOU to come out to help with brainstorming some ideas (I have a
few ideas, but need more!) of ways of generating some funds to give to
the Red Cross for this relief effort. If you are interested in helping
Haiti, please come to ENF 325 - the 3rd Year Civil Homeroom at 4:30pm
Tuesday January 19th.
There are over 4000 people at the Schulich School of Engineering; let's
make a difference to a Nation.
