TO ALL ENGG STUDENTS:

V O L U N T E E R S N E E D E D

Another fun and exciting Explore IT is quickly approaching and we're looking
for enthusiastic volunteers like you to help us out throughout the

day!

Explore IT is a fun and interactive one-day conference for grade nine young
women to explore the exciting world of Information and

Communications Technologies (ICT). Using state of the art technology and
hands-on sessions, the Explore IT Conference is an opportunity for

participants to discover and explore technology. See www.explore-it.ca for
more information on the conference.

The conference will be held on Wednesday May 6, 2009 and we are looking for
volunteers for:

Registration which involves a 1.15-hour morning commitment from 7:30 until
8:45am and assists the participants in registering for the conference.

Session volunteers to be with the girls for the entire day. They will lead
the girls to and from the fun and interactive Explore IT sessions and will

help out during the sessions. An 8:30am to 2:30pm commitment is required. No
experience is required, but please let us know if you have any of the

following skills so you can be placed in the most appropriate session:

> - Soldering experience

> - Basic computer programming experience

> - Robotics experience

> - Lego Mindstorms building/programming experience

In addition to being a fun way to interact with your peers and a great way
to give back to your community, benefits of volunteering include free

parking on May 6, lunch, a conference t-shirt, letter of reference on
request, as well as any training needed to do your job.

 Thank you very much!
