Tour, November 16- 18 2007.

The annual Petroleum & Energy Society (formerly the U of C Petroleum Club)
educational bus tour to Fort McMurray will start at 3:00pm on Friday
November 16 and will involve a tour of Syncrude's Mining Operations and
the Oils Sands discovery center on Saturday November 17 and a tour of
Imperial Oil's Cyclic Steam operations in Cold Lake on Sunday November 18.

This tour will include 2 nights accommodation - one night in Fort McMurray
and one night in Cold Lake.

In the past the cost of this trip has been negligible. We are currently
working on securing final funding for this trip. As of now students may be
required to pay between $20 - 50 for the this trip.

Time : 9am - 3pm
Where: ESS Office

This event is only for Petroleum & Energy Society Members. Membership is
open to everyone, forms & payments are still available and accepted at the
ESS office, membership is $20.

If you are interested in attending this event. Please fill out the
attached form, and bring it along with your $50 deposit (refundable if you
go on the trip) to the ESS Office this Friday. Please remember that the
$50 deposit will not be refundable if  you register to go on this trip -
and don’t go. We have to do this as we need to give our host companies a
list of students 2 weeks before, for security reason, as such any last
minute drop outs result  in open spots we cant fill and extra costs we
have to incur.
