it's looking like this week is going to be a busy one! Here's whats
happening!

1.Field School Workshop
Don't forget  this Monday is Chacmool's Field School workshop! It will be
held in ES859 from twelve to one. There will be people giving tips and
talking about their field schools! Come check it out!

2.Anth/Arky Christmas Party
This Year our department is doing something different! On Dec 6th there
will be a joint christmas party with Anthropology! If you are interested
check out Santa's letter attached!

3.Saniser Field School
Has none of the previous field schools spoke to you? well check out the
poster attached! There are many opportunities offered!

4.ASA Talk
This Wednesday is the ASA's monthly talk in ES 442,  at 7:30pm! It is
titled Landscape Change and Human History of the Athabasca Glacier Area!
Check out the attached poster for more information!

5.ASA Artifact Illustration WorkshopHave you always been interested in
learning how to illustrate artifacts?
We have the workshop for you!!
ASA planning an artifact illustration workshop on Saturday, November 23,
2013.
It will be held up at the University of Calgary (room TBA) from
12:30pm-4:30pm.
No previous experience is necessary. Pre-Registration is required.
Cost: $15 (includes all materials and light snacks)

Registration is limited-so please sign up early! Current Members will have
Priority (so renew your membership soon)!

6. Noon Hour Lecture
Noon hour lecture resumes this Wednesday at twelve in ES 859 at 12 as
usual. Courtney McConnan Borstad a PhD Student in our department will be
talking about Dietary Resource Use at Helike (Greece) During the
Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine Periods! See the attached poster!

7.Food Drive
Last but certainly not least the Arky department is competing with the
Anthropology department this year! Drop your none perishable food items
off at our office in ES826! All food will be donated to charities in need!
It's a great cause AND you have to beat the Anthro students
