Presenter: Robyn Crook
Title: Excavating Bellevue House: An exercise in historical archaeology in
Halifax, Nova Scotia

Bellevue House (built in 1801) began its existence as the residence of the
Duke of Kent in his role as the Commandant of the British Army in North
America. In this presentation, the history and archaeology of this
important building will be discussed using archival documents and
archaeological materials collected during the excavations that took place
on the corner of Spring Garden Road and Queen Street in Halifax in the
summer and early fall of 2011.

Doors and popcorn popping starts at 4:30 then shows start at 5:00.  Line
up includes: 3rd Rock from the Sun, Parks and Recreation, the Simpsons and
more.
