1. This week’s Noon Hour Lecture will be Lance Evans’ talk on “The Cluny
Site – Results of the 2011 Field Season”. Come by ES 859 on Wednesday,
March 21st at noon and learn more about the ongoing research for this
singularly fascinating site on our very own Canadian Plains. For those of
you who are planning on taking the field school course (either 306 or 506)
then this is an absolutely ideal time to learn about just what all the
talk is about. For more information about this talk and more to come, keep

2. A brief reminder that the Chacmool Career Fair is coming, so take a
couple of hours and polish that resume of yours for March 31st. The event
will begin at 10:00 AM on the Saturday morning, and will run until 2:00
PM. Please try to make it on time as the opening hour of the event will be
introductions and information from the CRM companies in the form of brief
presentations, followed by time to mingle and talk to the representatives
from the industry. We highly recommend you bring an up-to-date resume/CV.
For those of you who feel that theirs needs work, the University Career
Services offers counseling and workshops for resumes, and they’re
definitely worth looking into.

3. Elections for the Chacmool Executive Positions have officially begun!
Sign-up sheets will appear shortly outside the Chacmool Office (ES 826)
which will include information about the positions. Those interested are
asked to write their names and a brief (no more than 100 words) discussion
about themselves and why they think they are fit for the position. For
those of you who aren’t able to drop by the office can email their name
and discussion in plain text (again, no more than 100 words) and we will
print the information off and attach it to the sign-up sheets. The sheets
will be up until March 30th, and voting will occur from March 31st until
April 5th. Feel free to come by our office during office hours, or fire us
off an email with any questions or concerns.
