[Chacmool-l] Conference! (and reception)

Greetings all,

The great Chacmool Conference is upon us, and this long weekend will be
playing host to some truly fantastic talks from all around the world of
archaeology. For those of you who missed the plenary speakers this last
morning worry not, for the talks begin in earnest tomorrow and continue
well on into the weekend. For information as to just where and when the

And for those of a more social mindset, this Friday evening at 6:00 there
will be a Chacmool hosted department reception in ES 859. What is a
department reception you ask? What a silly question. The department
reception is a relaxed social event where faculty members, undergraduates,
grad students, and visiting archaeologists from around the globe all come
to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine or can of beer in like company.
Cheeses of dozens of different varieties will be available, along with
other free snacks. So drop by and embrace this great opportunity to meet
and mingle with archaeologists from just about everywhere.
