Dear CCA colleagues,

I am writing as this year's chair of CCA’s Racialized and Indigenous Scholars Network.

RISN was established in 2022 to foster community among racialized and Indigenous communication scholars; to promote their work, including marginalized objects, frameworks, and epistemologies, within the field of Canadian communication studies; and to support racialized and Indigenous students and early career researchers in navigating the CCA, the discipline, the profession, and their home institutions.

This year, the RISN Meet and Greet/ lunch will be held during the CCA conference on June 2 from 12:30-1:30 pm in Dillon Hall, 265. If you identify as racialized, Indigenous or both and would like to connect with other scholars, please come along. We will use the meeting to meet each other and discuss potential events for the 2026-2027 academic year.

If you plan to join, please fill out this quick Google form so that we can get a sense of numbers for lunch:

Looking forward to seeing everyone in Windsor!
