Dear CCA Community,



I am reaching out to ask for the community's assistance with acquiring media assets for my PhD thesis research project.



I am trying to locate specific CBC news footage related to the 2022 border protest and blockade in Coutts, Alberta. I am also interested in other mainstream coverage of the event as available/possible. I am particularly interested in finding raw or archived audiovisual footage from the event, such as reports from the scene, interviews, or aerial shots of the blockade itself.



As a graduate student, I do not have the funding to support acquiring the footage/media from the CBC archives. I did try to work through CBC Archives first. If anyone on this list has expertise in media archival research, has personal backups of news coverage from that time, knows of any resources (academic or public) where such footage might be catalogued, or has some tips to source differently, I would be incredibly grateful for your guidance.
