Dear colleagues,

As part of next week’s Convention Cultures Workshop, we are organizing a public roundtable discussion on researching media industries and fans at live events and the still-undertheorized relationship between fan studies and media industries studies. Our panelists are Erin Hanna (University of Oregon), Shawna Kidman (University of California, San Diego), Melanie E.S. Kohnen (Lewis and Clark College), Felan Parker (St. Michael’s College, University of Toronto), and Benjamin Woo (Carleton University).

Join us in person at the Kelly Library at St. Michael’s College (Room 105, 113 St. Joseph St., Toronto, ON) at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13. Light refreshments will be served.
