Les rédactrices invitées Magda Konieczna (Université Concordia) et Gabriela Perdomo (Université Mount Royal) sont à la recherche de propositions et contributions à un numéro spécial de Faits & frictions (en anglais, engaged journalism), et qui sera publié au printemps 2026. Les rédactrices sollicitent présentement de brèves propositions pour les types de contributions suivants : a) des articles académiques ; b) des travaux de journalisme d’engagement, et ;  c) Des notes de recherche/essais proposant une analyse, interprétation. Les propositions peuvent être envoyées par courriel à journalismedengagement at faitsetfrictions.ca<mailto:journalismedengagement at faitsetfrictions.ca>

Date limite : 10 septembre 2025

Pour les propositions retenues, les auteurs et autrices devront remettre le travail complet au plus tard le 15 décembre 2025.

SPECIAL ISSUE
Engaged Journalism in Canada: Emerging Theories and Practices
CALL FOR PROPOSALS<https://factsandfrictions.ca/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Special-issue-proposal-call.pdf>

Guest editors Magda Konieczna (Concordia University) and Gabriela Perdomo (Mount Royal University) seek proposals for contributions to a special issue of Facts & Frictions that will be dedicated to engaged journalism, to be published in Spring 2026. Categories include a) scholarly papers; b) works of engaged journalism; c) research notes/analysis. Proposals must be between 400-600 words in length and include an explicit label for the type of contribution intended (a, b, or c as per the list). Proposals can be emailed to EngagedJournalism at factsandfrictions.ca<mailto:EngagedJournalism at factsandfrictions.ca>

Deadline: September 10, 2025

For successful proposals, authors will be expected to complete the full work by December 15, 2025. Please note that all completed works will undergo a peer review process.
