Dear colleagues,
We are inviting submissions for a special issue titled "AI and its Environmental and Labor Implications: China and Beyond", to be published by the Sage Journal Global Media and China.
This special issue will examine the environmental and labour implications of AI from an interdisciplinary perspective, focusing on China while comparing global trends. We seek to elucidate the intersection of AI with ecological sustainability, energy policy, labour rights, and social justice. We will also investigate how these challenges are articulated and addressed in media and public discourse.
This issue accepts both “original articles” (normally not exceeding 8,000 words including notes and references) and “commentaries” (no longer than 5,000 words). We are particularly interested in submissions that engage in conversations with one another and provoke thoughts on emerging issues related to the special issue theme.
We welcome submissions from scholars and academics from any region and any career stage, including doctoral candidates in advanced stages of dissertation completion.
The full CFP is attached, and you can also find it at: https://journals.sagepub.com/pb-assets/PDF/AI%20and%20its%20Environmental%20and%20Labor%20Implications-1756271013.pdf
