Hello!

We are pleased to announce our latest project, What Is to Be Done… with Media? Gramscian Perspectives on Media in a Counter-Revolutionary Epoch, a conference scheduled to take place in Montreal on the 27th and 28th of October of this year.

We are currently accepting proposals. Please send an abstract of no more than 400 words, together with a short bio, to rethinkinggramsci at gmail.com<mailto:rethinkinggramsci at gmail.com> before the 8th of June 2025. Consult the Call for Papers, attached to this email, for more details.

Please help us spread the word by sharing the Call for Papers with any and all who might be interested in the event.

The conference will be held in person, but the organizing team is willing to accept exceptionally proposals for online communication in cases related to health and disability, economic constraints (such as students or precarious researchers without funding), or political barriers (such as visa issues).

Nous acceptons actuellement les propositions. Merci de nous aider à diffuser l’information en partageant l’appel à communications avec toute personne susceptible d’être intéressée par l’événement.

La conférence se tiendra en personne, mais le comité d’organisation est disposé à accepter exceptionnellement des propositions de communication en ligne dans des situations liées à la santé et au handicap, à des contraintes économiques (comme les étudiants ou les chercheurs précaires sans financement), ou à des obstacles politiques (comme les problèmes de visa).
