Envisioning Trans Futures:

Montréal Trans & 2S Filmmakers x The Transgender Media Portal


Sunday, June 16, 1:30PM - Free and Open to the Public - Downtown Montréal


Say hello to the newly built Transgender Media Portal, an open-access website that allows you to explore trans filmmakers and their works!


Then watch 10 remarkable films by trans and Two Spirit filmmakers based in Montreal that open us up to a multitude of trans futures.


Finally, chat about trans filmmaking and the Portal with featured filmmakers Elian Mikkola and kimura byol lemoine and creators of the Portal Aliisa Qureshi and Laura Horak.

Accessibility: Films will be shown with captions when available. There is space at the back of the cinema reserved for a maximum of four audience members using wheelchairs. Unfortunately, the cinema is not equipped with automatic doors and there is no access to the stage due to the stairs on either side.


Location: The location will be sent to registered attendees one week in advance.
