Chers et chères étudiant.es de l’ACC,

Nous avons hâte de vous voir au congrès virtuel cette année !

Nous organisons, comme à l’habitude, une rencontre du caucus étudiant, le 17 mai, de 14 h à 15 h (HE) lors du congrès, ouverte à l’ensemble des étudiant.e.s aux cycles supérieurs membres de l’ACC, et non pas uniquement aux participant.es du colloque. L’ordre du jour suivra à l’approche de l’événement, mais nous aimerions déjà vous informer qu’il y aura des élections pour le poste de représentant.e étudiant.e et membre du conseil d’administration de l’ACC. Si ce poste vous intéresse, merci de nous envoyer une courte biographie et un paragraphe avec vos motivations que nous intégrerons à l’ordre du jour, en remplissant ce google form.<https://forms.gle/WnxyCjhEWWsShSPL7> Nous vous encourageons fortement à vous présenter pour ce poste : c’est une expérience professionnelle hautement gratifiante qui permet de rencontrer nos pair.es, étudiant.es comme professeur.es, à travers le pays. La même journée aura lieu, de 16 h 45 à 18 h (HE) une table ronde destinée aux étudiant.e.s aux étudiant.e.s de 2e et 3e cycle, intitulée « In and Out of Academia: Career Transitions Beyond Tenure-Track Positions ». Nous avons à cet effet convié quelques gradué.es du doctorat en communication à participer à une discussion sur les différentes trajectoires possibles après les études supérieures.

Dear CCA Students

We look forward to seeing you at this year's virtual conference!

As usual, we will be holding an annual student caucus meeting on May 17th from 2:00-3:00 pm (ET) during the conference, open to all CCA graduate students, not just conference participants. The agenda will follow as the event approaches, but we would like to inform you that there will be elections for the position of CCA Student Representative and board member. If you are interested in this position, please send us a short biography and a paragraph with your motivations which we will include in the agenda, by filling this google form<https://forms.gle/WnxyCjhEWWsShSPL7>. We strongly encourage you to apply for this position: it is a highly rewarding work experience that allows you to meet our peers, both students and teachers, across the country. On the same day, from 4:45 to 6:00 pm (ET), a roundtable discussion for graduate students will be held entitled “In and Out of Academia: Career Transitions Beyond Tenure-Track Positions”. We invited a few communication PhD graduates to participate in a discussion on the different trajectories possible after graduate school.
