I'm delighted to announce the winners of the 2020 CRTC Prize for Excellence in Policy Research.

Master’s category: Dana Louise Cramer, University of Calgary. “Broadband between the lines: Alberta library policies in provincial broadband development”

PhD category: Tricia Toso, Concordia University. “Toward a reflective equilibrium: The colonial legacy and the role of reconciliation in telecommunications and broadcasting policy”

Post-doc category: Chris Tenove, University of British Columbia. “Protecting Democracy from Disinformation: Normative Threats and Policy Responses”

The winning papers are of an exceptionally high quality, and they bridge the gap between the spheres of critical and administrative research in communications and media policy studies. I learned so much from these papers, and I encourage you to read them. They are freely available on the CRTC Prize for Excellence in Policy Research website:
