[acc-cca-l] Upcoming DM at X Conference

Dear all-

This is a further reminder of the sixth annual Digital Media at the Crossroads (DM at X) conference which is coming up next week on February 7-8, 2020.


As you will be aware, the much-awaited Report of the Broadcasting and Telecommunications Legislative Review Panel was released two days ago.

Janet Yale, the Chair of the Panel, has agreed to be a keynote speaker at DM at X.  And many of the panel discussions at the conference will discuss how the report may impact Canadian creators.
The conference will take place at the University of Toronto and is sponsored by 38 educational and cultural organizations, including the Canadian Communications Association.  The regular registration fee for the conference is $399 which covers the program materials and a buffet lunch.  However, all CCA members qualify for the faculty rate of $99.

A copy of the DM@!X program is attached. There is an impressive list of speakers, all of whom are directly involved in the digital media business, whether as producers, regulators, entrepreneurs or academics.  This will be the first conference to look intensively at the report of the Legislative Review Panel, so it will be well worth attending..
