Subject: Cooper H. Langford III, 1934-2018

C H Langford IIII just found out that Cooper Harold Langford III, 
Professor Emeritus of Chemistry, has died on March 11. Cooper was 
centrally involved in the (now defunct) History and Philosophy of 
Science (HPSC), and Science, Technology, and Society (STAS) programs in 
the Faculties of Humanities and later Arts, and an active participant 
over decades in HPS activities at the University of Calgary. He endowed 
the Cooper H. Langford Graduate Scholarship open to students in civil 
engineering, chemistry, philosophy, and communication and media studies.
