[Students in Civil Engineering Undergraduate Program]

Dear Students,

As you may be aware, our Engineering Program is accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB), ensuring that you receive an education that meets the standards required to become licensed by Canada's engineering regulators. Six engineering programs are going through their review this fall. As part of the review, a team from the CEAB will be visiting our school between November 24-26th 2024 to meet with our leadership, faculty, staff, students, and industry partners, and tour our spaces.

I am reaching out to invite you to participate in a Student Meeting with the CEAB visitor for civil engineering. There will be one meeting with second, third year and fourth year (who are still in the program next year) students and a separate meeting with students in their final year of the program. This is an excellent opportunity for you to share your thoughts about our engineering programs. The two meetings with our CEAB visitors are scheduled for Monday, November 25th, 2024 (exact time TBD). Each meeting will last approximately 45 minutes. These will be group meetings, and my hope is to have at least a few of you available to meet with our visitor. You will receive briefing notes from the Department and will be invited to an information session with the Head and Associate Head-Undergraduate Studies before the CEAB visit so that you know what to expect.
