Dear SSE Faculty and Staff,

It is hard to believe that we are less than a month away from the end of Winter Term. I know it is a busy time with so much going on – I wanted to start by thanking you for your dedication.

We have a few initiatives coming up soon that will put our fantastic research, expertise and innovation on display.

This annual United Nations observance day highlights the importance of fresh water in our world. To bring more awareness to this issue, as well as our involvement in the new UN University Hub at UCalgary <https://em.ucalgary.ca/MTYxLU9MTi05OTAAAAGSBabsWZhVVpoZYSHg5me5C2fqCouJe2iBL7z6QZqHsN6YwXIVPkPDfJnBdm1NPl9u-9wwjs8=>, we are hosting a panel conversation on building resilience to environmental change. And finally, we are pleased to have the Schulich Momentum co-directors on Sustainable Future hosting Professor Vicente Carabias for a two-day visit to Schulich on March 27 and 28. Professor Carabias is from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences and the City of Winterthur, Switzerland, and will be sharing his experiences and expertise on innovation and sustainable smart cities.
