Good afternoon ESC,
I am wondering if it is still possible for me to apply for an upper year minor. I understand that this is past the due date but do these certain circumstances I have miss the deadline.

Attention: Engineering students currently in an Engineering Program:

(Not applicable for students in common core – your EPS ranking opportunity will be available soon)



The Engineering Program Selection (EPS) process will open January 30th to February 6th, 2023

You may select/change your requests up to that deadline.  Late requests will not be accepted.

Student Guide: D2L > Engineering Student Centre > Content > Program Placement > Upper Year Switch and Upper Year Minors – Fall 2023 > Student Guide - Upper Year – Minor selection or program change.



You will be able to:

Ø  Request an upper year minor or

Ø  Request a change of program

Minors are competitive. Decisions will be finalized ahead of the March 27th registration date.

Program switches: Decisions will be made after 2nd year student placements are finalized in June/July.



Available minors are:

Mechanical 4th year: Manufacturing, Petroleum

Civil 4th year: Transportation, Structural

Geomatics 3rd or 4th year: Cadastral concentration

Electrical 3rd year: Computer (for available spots in this 2nd year minor after 2nd year placements are made)

All programs: MEED – (Newly placed students into their programs have priority placement)



Second year minors are not available to students who have already been placed in their program.



Physics Engineering – this program has not yet been confirmed to be available for Fall 2023. If you select this but it is not available your 2nd choice will be considered.



Applying for or currently in Internship? You are welcome to apply for an Engineering minor now to secure your place for entering fourth year when you return.
