This email includes important information about the 2023 Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) Popsicle Stick Bridge Competition and the guidelines for the bridge design that is attached to this email. Please read the attached PDF file for all the relevant information regarding this competition.

The competition date is confirmed to be March 2nd, 2023, detailed setup, and location (Engg Building – Atrium: Tentative) will be provided as the competition day approaches.

Registration will commence the moment you receive this email, and the Google Form survey will take responses with a deadline of February 3rd, 2022, 11:59 PM. Upon completion of the registration form, participants must E-transfer the $5 fee/group (material cost) to csceuc at gmail.com<mailto:csceuc at gmail.com>.
Once registration and payment were received and confirmed, we will send you an email with regards to the pick-up location of the kits and the drop-off location for your bridge models.

Also, CSCE Student Membership is REQUIRED in order to participate. If you don’t have a student membership yet, please follow the document attached to this email for instructions, and don’t worry, it’s FREE to register!

On the day of competition, there will be a great chance to network and talk directly with civil industrial professionals from WSP Consulting, PCL Construction, City of Calgary and Stantec Consulting Company. Please read the poster image for more information, no REPORT needed and chance to win up to $200 scholarship.

FREE dinner packages will also be available during the event, students MUST be participating in the whole session of the event if they are part of the bridge competition.
