Subject: Study abroad opportunity for your students

Hello Jennifer and John,
I'm reaching out to you as the heads for Graduate and Undergraduate Studies over there in Civil Engineering. I'm in the Department of Geography, and I'm trying to recruit a few last-minute students to the study abroad program ("Group Study Program", formally) I'm organizing to Buenos Aires, Argentina this summer. I'm reaching out to you because it occurred to me that an Arts or Social Sciences course may be required for your programs and your students may find this learning opportunity more appealing than a traditional classroom-style course. Would you mind forwarding this email to your under/graduates to let them know that we're trying to get just a few more applicants by Tuesday (2/22)? You can invite them to take a look at our program webpage here<https://www.ucalgary.ca/international/argentina_GEOG>, but I'll attach a recruitment slide to this email and provide a few key points below.

Here are the take-home messages:

  * It's the cheapest study abroad being offered this year, and scholarships are available.
  * It is a collaboration with a local Argentine researcher and activist organizations with whom we will directly work.
  * We have two excursions planned outside Buenos Aires, and possibly more depending on funding.
  * The program gives graduate credit, so the program is designed to "count" toward most degrees.

Feel free to reach out with any other questions, and I thank you both so much for any help you can offer in my recruitment efforts!
Best wishes,
Ryan
