[ENCI-l] 2022 Students' Union General Election

[Students in Civil Engineering Undergraduate Program]

Good afternoon,

I am Vishanth Somasundaram, the Chief Returning Officer (CRO) for the 2022 Students' Union General Election, which will be held in March.

The SU is currently preparing for our General Election.  Participating in the election process is a rewarding experience that allows students to learn about governance, become more involved with their faculty and work with each other to make UCalgary student life the best it can be!

The SU is holding three pre-election workshop sessions for potential candidates to provide some tips and information about various aspects of the 2022 General Election. The workshop content will cover materials such as what to expect during the Campaign Period and campaigning during COVID-19. The workshop sessions will also contain Q & A sessions to answer any questions that students may have.

Pre-Election Workshops

When:

  *   Wednesday January 26, 12 - 1 pm
  *   Thursday January 27, 4 pm - 5 pm
  *   Friday January 28, 2 - 3 pm
Where: Zoom Video Conference
Who: Undergraduate students currently enrolled at the U of C
How: Visit www.su.ucalgary.ca/elections<http://www.su.ucalgary.ca/elections> to access the zoom link for attending the Pre-Orientation Workshop session for potential candidates.

Election Nomination Days
What: SU General Election Nomination Days (all the positions will be contested during the 2022 General Election). There will also be an important Referenda questions regarding the Student Health and Dental Plan.
When: February 7 - 9 from 10 am to 3 pm each day
Where: Zoom Video Conference
Who: Undergraduate students currently enrolled at the U of C
How: Visit www.su.ucalgary.ca/elections<http://www.su.ucalgary.ca/elections> to download a Nomination Package and find out all the requirements. Fill out the forms, write a platform statement and drop it off virtually on the designated days.
