[ENCI-l] CSCE Crowchild Trail Upgrade Presentation & Popsicle Bridge Competition

Good Morning,

The CSCE UofC Student Chapter is excited to announce that ISL Engineering, The City of Calgary, and Graham Construction will be hosting a live presentation on The Crowchild Trail Project. And unlike the Olympic Bid, this project will have a long-lasting impact on Calgarians commuting between downtown, WITHOUT dragging our economy. The $87 million project has added an extra lane to the Northbound and Southbound Crowchild Trail between Memorial Drive and Bow Trail as well as relocated the on-ramps from Westbound Bow Trail/10th Avenue over to the East side of Crowchild. But don't take it from me, I failed Transpo I, hear it from the experts on the ground on March 25th at 6:00PM.

This presentation has been coordinated with the CSCE Calgary Chapter for Industry Professionals. Members of the Chapter will be in attendance. We recommend students take advantage of the allocated time and ask questions regarding the industry or network with your fellow CSCE Professionals.

This exciting event will occur during our annual popsicle stick bridge competition. All students are welcome to tune in and watch the bridge crushing live on zoom!

Student Popsicle Bridge Competition: 5:30 PM MST
Crowchild Presentation and Q&A: 6:00 PM MST (this timing is approximate depending on bridge testing)
Student Popsicle Bridge Awards/Networking: 7:00 PM MST
