Please distribute to faculty and undergraduates in biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, earth sciences, and engineering or a closely related field.

Mitacs and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) have partnered to offer the RISE-Globalink Research Internship<https://mitacs.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=be23a55f0958a52e45d79bfe5&id=e0ff6042b5&e=88cbd878f6> (RISE-GRI), which offers undergraduate students at Canadian universities the opportunity to undertake summer research internships at eligible German institutions.

RISE-GRI pairs Canadian students with three-month projects supervised by PhD students in Germany.

  *   Open to full-time undergraduates in biology, chemistry, computer science, physics, earth sciences, or engineering (or a closely related field) who have completed at least two years of a four- or five-year program

     *   Students in Quebec enrolled in a three-year undergraduate degree must have completed at least one year of their university program

  *   Applications accepted until December 15, 2020. Students must apply through the RISE application portal<https://mitacs.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=be23a55f0958a52e45d79bfe5&id=d680257ff2&e=88cbd878f6>.
  *   Competitive opportunity — only top-ranked students are matched with projects
  *   Projects must start between May 15 and July 12, 2021
  *   Approved recipients receive $6,000 toward travel and accommodations

Mitacs et l’Office allemand d’échanges universitaires (DAAD) se sont associés afin de proposer le programme Stage de recherche Globalink RISE<https://mitacs.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=be23a55f0958a52e45d79bfe5&id=c050f8e901&e=88cbd878f6> (SRG-RISE), qui donne aux étudiants de premier cycle d’universités canadiennes l’occasion de réaliser des stages d’été en recherche auprès d’établissements allemands admissibles.

SRG-RISE jumelle des étudiants canadiens avec des projets de trois mois supervisés par des étudiants au doctorat en Allemagne.

  *   Ouvert aux étudiants à temps plein de premier cycle en biologie, chimie, informatique, physique, sciences de la Terre et génie (ou tout autre domaine connexe) qui ont réalisé au moins deux ans d’un programme de quatre ou cinq ans.

     *   Les étudiants au Québec inscrits dans un programme de premier cycle de trois ans doivent avoir terminé au moins un an de leur programme universitaire.

  *   Demandes acceptées jusqu’au 15 décembre 2020. Les étudiants doivent déposer leur demande via le portail de demande RISE<https://mitacs.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=be23a55f0958a52e45d79bfe5&id=af04d2f007&e=88cbd878f6> (en anglais).
  *   Stages octroyés par concours : seuls les étudiants avec les meilleurs classements sont jumelés à des projets.
  *   Les projets doivent commencer entre le 15 mai et le 12 juillet 2021.
  *   Les récipiendaires retenus reçoivent 6 000 $ pour couvrir les frais de transport et d’hébergement.
