REMINDER:

The deadline is fast approaching for application submission for the Engineering Institute of Canada -  EIC Student of the Year Medal.  Please refer to the email below that was sent out in March.

  *   Check the Engineering Student Centre D2L - many questions can be answered!


  *   Virtual Walk-Ins will be held 12:30pm - 4:00pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday for engineering students and instructions can be found on the Engineering Student Centre D2L page for how to access QLess & Zoom.


  *   Email support will be continued through engginfo at ucalgary.ca<mailto:engginfo at ucalgary.ca>  for any general questions, approvals, graduation checks, time conflict and straight forward questions.  Please do not email multiple times and be patient given the current volume.

Award Value: Medal

Eligibility: The EIC medal is awarded annually to a student graduating from engineering in June, and is based on the following criteria:


  *   Awarded annually to a graduating student in the Schulich School of Engineering
  *   Academic merit* (50%)
  *   Extra-curricular activities (25%)
  *   Demonstrates technical or practical aptitude (25%)
  *   Not presented at Convocation

*The 2020 academic merit portion will be determined based on final grades in Fall 2018 - Winter 2019 and Fall 2019 - Winter 2020


  *   a minimum GPA of 3.50 in each academic year is required.
Note regarding Internship: For students who were on Internship in Fall 2018/Winter 2019, final grades for the Fall 2017 - Winter 2018 and Fall 2019 - Winter 2020 academic years will be used for GPA calculation.
