Description:
Communications and engagement are a requirement for most infrastructure projects these days, but the scope and desired outcomes are almost always vague. 15-year veteran Erin Russell will define and walk through the difference between communications and engagement (there is a difference), how it can help your projects be successful (and when it's not necessary), some common tactics and deliverables, and a class 5 estimate for a typical project.

Erin Russell of Russell PR
Erin has worked on a multitude of civil engineering projects, primarily in the municipal sector. She has particularly extensive experience in transportation, but has also worked on water, recreation, and land use and urban planning projects, among others. Her work has included some recognizable projects like LRT, Crowchild Trail, bikeways and the recent Olympic Bid. She'll share practical insights from these and other projects with a sense of humour.
