[ENCI-l] Request for volunteers for Explore STEM day May 15

Good afternoon,

SSE is looking for 6 to 9 female undergraduate or graduate students to volunteer for Explore STEM Day on May 15th.  Explore STEM Day is an outreach event for girls in grade 9 to learn about careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Volunteers would be assisting with the soldering workshop, facilitated by John Shelley from ECE. Volunteers would be overlooking safety, talking to the girls about engineering, helping setup/clean up, answering questions, etc. Previous soldering experience is NOT necessary as we will be providing a training sessions on May 14th from 2-4pm in ENG 124. Lunch will be provided to volunteers at the event.

Training Date/Location: May 14th, 2-4pm, ENG 124
Event Date/Location: May 15th, 9:00am to 3:00pm, ENG 124
