[ENCI-l] CSCE Pine Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Tour

Hi Everyone!

The Canadian Society for Civil Engineering - UofC Chapter is hosting a day tour of the Pine Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant on Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 1 PM - 5 PM.

The Pine Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant is one of the three wastewater treatment facilities in Calgary that collectively sustain Calgary's high quality water treatment processes. As civil engineers, this would be a great opportunity to observe what specifc steps the wastewater we produce undergoes in order for it to be treated properly.

We will be accompanied by one of our own professors, Dr. Angus Chu and a chaperone from the plant. The tour itself will last from 2PM to about 4 or 4:30PM. Transportation from the University and back will be provided so please meet by the Education bus loop at 1 PM.
