[ENCI-l] Summer group study program: Spain through the Eyes of an Engineer -- Málaga, Spain

The Schulich School of Engineering together with University of Calgary International is happy to announce the launch of a new group study abroad program set in Málaga, Spain.

The first offering of this program is scheduled for the beginning of summer 2016. Engineering students will be introduced to Andalusian civilization and contemporary Spanish culture through their coursework in ENGG 393, and by experiencing daily life in the city of Málaga, located in  the Costa del Sol. Featuring a Gothic cathedral, museums, narrow pedestrian streets, and shops that range from family owned to urban chic and contemporary, Málaga is tastefully historic. Using Málaga as a base, participants will have the opportunity to travel to Granada, Cordoba, Gibraltar & Seville, to truly understand Spanish culture and architecture.

Students will also take ENGG 515, where they will learn fundamental topics in project management, such as planning, scope development, procurement and start-up. The application of these principles to engineering projects, both in Canadian and international settings, will be discussed.
