[ENCI-l] EXTRA-Seeking volunteers for youth robotics programs

Hello!

Would you like to learn how to build cool Lego Mindstorms robots and then help kids learn these skills too?

Why? Because you gain hands-on design, building, and programming skills. Then, you get a chance to work on your professional development by helping teams of Schulich volunteers teach kids 6-15 years old how to build their own robots too.

All of your volunteer hours (training, preparing, and mentoring the kids) are eligible to count towards your Co-Curricular Record (CCR). Also, it's REALLY FUN.

What's the commitment? You have to:

*         Pass a reference check (2 references),

*         Attend 3 training sessions (Fridays, 6-8pm in ICT 215 from Oct. 16-30)

*         Assist with fall youth robotics workshops (Fridays, 5:30-8:30pm in ICT from Nov. 6 - Dec. 4)
