Hi Everyone,

If you are on-track for degree completion at the end of Fall 2015, you are eligible to attend this ceremony.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
FALL 2015 Iron Ring Ceremony and APEGA Workshop

We would like to inform you that the registration for the FALL 2015 Iron Ring Workshop and Ceremony is now open for online registration.   Please note that this ceremony is only for University of Calgary undergraduate engineering students who:

  *   completed degree requirements in either Spring or Summer 2015.

OR

  *   are on-track for completing degree requirements by the end of Fall 2015.

Note:  you are NOT eligible to attend this ceremony if you are on-track for degree completion at the end of Winter 2016.  Students in this category will be eligible for the March 2016 ceremony.  More information on that event will be sent out in late January/February.

The ceremony, workshop and luncheon will be held at The Calgary Telus Convention Centre ,
120 - 9th Avenue SE, Calgary Macleod Hall, South Building, Lower Level on Saturday, November 21st, 2015.

Registration is on line via the following link  http://schulich.ucalgary.ca/education/current-students/undergraduate/graduating-students and will be available for a little over two weeks, until Friday, October 23rd, 2015.  Please review all documents available for download on the link above, and ensure that you print the form Request for Academic Document and take it with you on the day of the event, Saturday, November 21st.

Ring sizing can be done at any jeweler, or at the Engineering Student Centre SB 149 (formerly the Engineering Undergraduate Studies Office). The ring must be sized for the pinkie/little finger of your dominant hand.

The following information is required when registering online:

  1.  Name (first name and last name are required), and they must match the name used by the University of Calgary on your transcript;
  2.  Whether you will attend the workshop* and luncheon, and include details of food allergies, if applicable;
  3.  Ring size of the pinkie/little finger of your dominant hand.
  4.  Student ID number and engineering program (Civil, Electrical, etc.)

 *If you plan to work in Alberta and become registered as a Member In Training with APEGA, it is recommended that you attend the workshop.
