Hello everyone,

I am conducting a survey to determine a Severity Index for Natural Disasters for my Master's thesis. Would you like to take part? This survey should take around 10 minutes. You will be asked to order commonly used terms regarding natural disasters and indicate your rating for given hypothetical scenarios.

This is a worldwide survey. Therefore, I would appreciate if you could assist me by answering the questionnaire. Please be kind enough to forward this questionnaire among your friends and contacts as well.

Participation is completely voluntary, anonymous and confidential. Any personal identifying information will not be collected in this study. There are no costs or risks to you which are associated with this study. Your contributions to this study will be highly beneficial to define a common global scale for the severity of natural disasters. The University of Calgary Conjoint Faculties Research Ethics Board has approved this survey.
