Hi Everyone,

Please be advised that applications for the 2015 ConocoPhillips Canada Centennial Scholarship Program are now available on the university's Student Awards website under 'Featured Awards' (https://www.ucalgary.ca/awards/current-students/external-awards) The Application Form as well as the Program Guidelines (see attached) have been revised to reflect the internal administrative procedures of the university's Student Awards office.  Applicants have been asked to submit their completed application packages to Enrolment Services by Friday, May 15, 2015.

*         The University of Calgary may nominate six (6) candidates  in the Oil and gas related studies (Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science, Power Engineering, Geosciences, Petroleum Land Administration and Management and Environmental/Sustainable Development Studies.
I encourage your office to contact eligible candidates and invite them to apply for this prestigious award.  Please note that an applicant must satisfy the following conditions in order to be considered.  The applicant must:

  *   be already enrolled in a first bachelor degree program or a first diploma program;
  *   be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada;
  *   have earned a minimum GPA of 3.00 on at least 24.00 units over the previous fall 2013/winter 2014 terms.
Evaluation criteria will be assessed on the following:

  *   academic performance;
  *   Volunteer/community involvement and/or extracurricular activities;
  *   Quality of the reference letters.
