Hello Students of Civil Engineering,

Another year is upon us and on behalf of the 2014 – 2015 Civil Engineering
Undergraduate Society (CEUS) Executives, I’d like to welcome all of the
returning Civils back and congratulate those in second year on your
excellent department selection.

CEUS is so excited for the upcoming year and all of the great programs and events we have in store for you.  First things first: Desk/Locker Sales and FROSH Week.

DESK/LOCKER SALES:

What: Desks and lockers in the Civil homerooms (located 3rd floor F
Block) are rented out for the year to students as their designated work
space.

When/Where: We will start selling to 3rd and 4th year students at 7:00 AM on
Monday September 8th in the hallway of the homerooms. If by chance the desks do not sellout, Desk & Locker sales may open up to 2nd years at a later date.

DESK RENTAL ($60) INCLUDES: 1 desk, 1 locker, CEUS membership, 2015 ENGG Week T-shirt.

LOCKER RENTAL ($20) INCLUDES: 1 locker, CEUS membership, 2015 ENGG WEEK T-shirt

CIVIL ENGINEERING – CARD ACCESS FEE ($20) INCLUDES: Access to the homerooms ENF325, 305, 307 (depending on which room you are allocated). Fee is a one-time fee for the remainder of your studies. Once you know which room you will be using please go to the main Civil Engineering office ENF262 to get access, as the doors to the home rooms will remain closed.

If you do not want a desk or a locker but need access to the  computer labs ENF316 & ENF320 there is no charge            please see the main civil office ENF262.

FROSH WEEK:

When: September 8th – 12th

Description: During the first week of classes for the fall semester there
is some friendly competition between ENGG departments that go on during
the week that are aimed at getting Frosh introduced to each department and
older students.  Schedule of events for the week can be found on the ESS Facebook page, so everyone can come out to the event to support Civil.

Theme: The theme for Civil Engineering this year for Frosh Week is “Bringin' Civil Back” based off the song “Bringin' Sexy Back” by Justin Timberlake. Make sure
you wear HOT PINK all week since that’s Civil’s colour this year!  We will
be blasting the song all week and have plenty of swag to share.
